Ok couldn't get the help I need from the local store. The ideal I have is to install a pitcher pump on my sand point for the winter months. This would save me of having to transport water to the seasonal place. I am told if you leave the handle up on the pumps water will flow back into the well therefore no freezing of the main well pipe above the frost line. Is this true and will this idea work for drawing required water in the winter. I.m thinking after I draw water the first time after its installed it will freeze the next time I use it. Your help is appreciated.
