Hello! Have a currently unused well, 245', with roughly 11 gpm flow. Put the cart before the horse and found a geo HVAC guy that I can trust. However, I do not know what to do with the discharge part of the open loop system. Should I drill another well, making a high upfront expense? Or figure out a way to disperse the water in a form of a drain field, at a lower upfront expense? I do not know how to go about finding how much water my soil can handle, or what the standard methods of discharge are. 4 gpm can be reinjected into the source well, need to decide what to do with the other 6 gallons. Originally thought a harvesting tank to a discharge well would work, but I cannot find any professionals to speak with. Any help is appreciated! Happy to elaborate for any one who needs more info.

Thanks!
Kyle

3 ton geo unit will use about 1 million gallons a year. Injection well would be needed. 1.5 gallons a minute per ton running. Ph, mineral content and water temp is needed for water quality and amperage for the pump electric usage.
