Recommendations for buying plumbing supplies (online or in south) ?
Scenario:
I live in the south and we have home-depot or lowes. They seem to, mostly, carry shark bite fittings and valves. I believe, I've read on here that those press fittings aren't as recommended. They also seem to have mostly cheaper fittings, not as good as what plumbing supply sites offer; this is my guesstimate as I'm no professional. It's really hard to tell what amazon has, at what price, because there filters and search aren't what they were i.e. I couldn't tailor the search results, so they were pretty useless. I ended up ordering from Menards this time, which seems like a home-depot type store but only around the Wisconsin/Illinois area (none by me) but with what seems like better plumbing products e.g. pipe, fittings, etc. I think the prices where fine, but for a small order, I got a $7 dollar fee which seems to be for getting the stock to ship. It makes sense because it's not primarily an online store, but it's not ideal for me. I wish I could buy from the plumbing supply stores locally, but they require a plumbing license from what I can tell.
