Hopefully a simple question. We have 2 showers. One of them uses all the hot water during a 5 minute shower. I mean ALL the hot water. The other is fine and 3 people can take 5 minute showers and still have hot water. Before tearing the wall apart, is this an issue with some leaking in the pipes leading to that shower? We're down to one shower until we can figure this out.

That is normally the shower head. Some old heads are five gallons a minute or more and most new heads are 2.5 GPM to 1.75 GPM
Shower heads are mostly standard 1/2" IP threads.
Changing the head out may fix that.

Does that other shower ever get hot? All newer shower valves have some means of adjusting the maximum outlet temperature that needs to be adjusted during installation. I put a thread in the tutorial section that describes this and has some links to some of the more common valves.

If it starts out hot, but ends up cool...have you tried to check a local sink to see if that is hot? Water will flow along the path of least resistance. Some single handle faucets can have an internal leak that allows the hot and cold to mix, causing the hot supply along the path of least resistance, to end up warm verses hot. Turn off the cold supply to fixtures one at a time and check to see which one fixes the shower issue. THen, repair or replace the cartridge in that faucet.
