Hello, I need to get the outer most retention ring, but can't find it anywhere. Mine is good, but I have to fix a leak. It is 32 years old and I have to shut my entire water supply to my house off to fix it. Therefore, I need that ring in case it breaks. I have seen a picture on this site, but there was no mention of a part number or an after market part number. Here are two photos of my faucet. Can anyone help me ?

I can't find or verify the exact part number.. but from this instruction sheet for a full trim replacement kit, its called a cap assembly. Not sure if its the same for the 1300/1400 series

Just be extra extra careful not to twist the 3 copper tubes that are between the main valve body and the body that holds the ball mixer.

I think I found it here! But still can't verify that. cap; RP5893

Thanks very much, but all I need is part # 1. The ring. I went around and around with Delta and they had no idea what parts number or what I was talking about. They kept sending me parts. Everything except what I needed. I ordered what was supposed to be what I needed from some shop on line, and they sent me a ring for a kitchen sink. Around the size of a quarter. None of the big box stores have it or anyone that has a clue to what I need.

Its not surprising that you're not getting the correct part when you're not calling by its Specific part number or by its Correct name. You just referred to it as Part #1 and Ring which in the above diagram, is just a button or some other random thing.

As both Terry and I have provided the RP1050 is the correct part number for what We Think you need.

You could also just buy the Renovation kit that has the RP1050 included with all the other parts.. then just throw the rest of the parts in a junk drawer like most people.
