Do you need to be licensed to install a fuel gauge on an oil tank in Massachusetts.

When I was looking online it looked like you only need to be licensed to install the tank or work on the fuel lines and safety valves.

General Laws Part I Title XX Chapter 148 Section 38J

I installed a Wi-Fi oil tank gauge on my tank, that uses an ultrasonic sensor embedded in the bottom of it to detect the fuel level. https://www.connectedconsumerfuel.com/

I removed an unused plug from the top of the oil tank, brushed pipe thread sealent that is rated for fuel oil onto the threads on the gauge, hand turned the gauge into the tank, and than tightened it in with a pipe wrench.

It looks like this
