Oil burning funace bypass water heater expansion tank

Hello I have a Oil burning boiler that has the option to heat the house water, but the expansion tank for it ruptured yesterday, so to stop the water i bypassed the tank all together and closed the valves to the in and out of the furnace Is this ok to do long term as i dont really need to heat the house water

No should hurt anything but your heating domestic hot water and boiler needs a expansion tank. Water pressure could get to.30 lbs and pop the relief valve.
