Off-brand faucets warning - please read

I think there is a high possibility Amazon will take down the listings of these off-brands and/or Moen will escalate this study to the CPSC to order a mandatory recall. This study was conducted by the IAPMO on behalf of Moen. I highly doubt this data would be fabricated or rigged, considering the potential legal repercussions for defamation.

This discussion has been going for years. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't care. They are shielded because they are not the seller, just the marketplace. As long as they are making money they will continue to host these unscrupulous sellers.

If Moen gets the CPSC involved, Amazon won't have a choice. I would also not be surprised if Moen sues Amazon for knowingly facilitating the sale of hazardous faucets. While Amazon was not the direct seller of these faucets, most of these sellers used the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service, which could hold Amazon liable.
