Hello,
We have an NTI Trinity Tx151C boiler (74 MBH) that was installed in 2016. This spring it started having "lock out" errors. After a lot of time and money (after 4 visits and about $5,000 in parts and labor), the local HVAC tech working with the NTI tech (phone support) installed a new circuit board, gas valve, and blower assembly. At that time, we asked if it was better to just put in a new boiler and were told we would basically have a new boiler with these parts being installed. It worked until about a week ago (6 months later). We are back to getting lock out errors. We are now being told we need a new burner assembly (about $2500 for parts and labor including the diagnostics they've done so far).
Does anyone have experience with NTI boilers? Are NTI boilers typically more reliable than we've experienced? We are likely going to replace this NTI, rather than put more money into it. How do we find a manufacturer who makes a reliable high efficiency/condensing boiler?
Thanks
