Hello. I live in a modular home and well the plumbing stuff is cheap. So anyway, I need to remove the tub to get at some mold damage and so I went to Home Depot to buy a strainer tool but the strainer tool they have is for a strainer shaped like a +. The problem is that this cheap strainer is shaped like a Y :( with the 3 plastic pieces instead of 4, you know what I mean? Do you know of where I can get a tool that can remove this strainer? Any ideas?

Thanks,
The Lightning Stalker

See a Saw Blade

Those internal tools seldom work on tub strainers :( . We often have to cut them out and since your's is plastic you have an advantage over the decent brass ones  . Take a single hacksaw blade (we use a sawsall but we are artists  ) and cut a couple of notches about a half inch apart and peel the strainer out with a screwdriver or wood chisel.
You might consider a better tub since you are going to remove yours.
