No hot water in sink - help plz

Hi all, when I turn on my hot water in the bathroom sink I hear the h/w line “jolt” then I get no water..everywhere else is good and this used to be fine not long ago..Hoping someone knows

Similar happened to me last month. For me, turns out that the washer within the shutoff valve decided at that moment to break off and "clog" the supply line to the faucet. Drove me crazy for a couple of hours until I figured that out. For your consideration.

I would install a new shutoff and supply hose.

I agree with Theodore, possible washer issue. Thing is everything water touches degrades. Might as well replace the whole thing so you can sleep at night.

I had the same condition

I found the bibb screw separated from the washer retaining ring, and it acted like a check valve
