We’ve never been able to get water warm enough to shower in. I’ve looked for replacement exposed mixers/thermostats but the width isn’t right. The shower head drips, but I’m not sure where the valve is. There is a plate behind the mixer that may be it. I just don’t know anything about these and the plumbers around here just say, I’ve never seen anything like that before. So not much help! Any advice is appreciated. The house was built in 1921. Thanks!

This Niedecken valve was made prior to Kohler buying the company. As far as I know the parts used did not change. The 21516 kit is still available and if the valve seats need to be replaced you will need the 21951 seat wrench. It is still available as well. The plungers items 6 and 7 are specific to hot and cold. Crayon marks on the plunger and yoke will help.
