Which toilet is TOTALLY enclosed in the back?

What is the purpose of the hole in the back of the Soiree?

Which would give a better flush?

Thank you. I find this all very confusing.

I expect it is to clear space for the Unifit on the Soiree. The back of the Unifit sits pretty close to the wall. I don't know about the back of the Nexus. https://www.totousa.com/filemanager_uploads/product_assets/SS-00366_CST794EF.pdf

Those two toilets are rather different. How did you come up with those two on your short list?

Wide base covers old footprint, narrower base; boxy, curvy; choice of rough with different Unifits, 12 inch rough; one piece, two piece.

The Nexus has a closed bowl, the Soiree is open in the back.
They both work fine. For this one, just go with the style you like.
