Hi,
first time poster and definitely a newbee to Water Softners.
Background:
- We Seem to have Hard Water, 7.6 thereabouts (from our water Company report)
- New Home, built in 2024 and we have been here about a year
- Slab Foundation, no crawlspace
- 2 1/2 bathe, 3 adults
- Noticing frizzy hair, dry skin, and white clithes are getting a bit dingy
- We have an irrigation system (and plans for additional landscaping.
issues:
- Slab foundation makes it difficult to isolate the 3 hose bibs and irrigation system
Questions:
1. What brands, models and features should we be looking for?
2. Any ideas on how to isolate the irrigation system and hose bibs?
3. Considering an outdoor install right near water main. we do get some frost but no snows. low temps in the 30s at night.
4. Our regular plumber was short on specific recommendations—they do the instal and just pointed us to Home Depot and told to buy something appropriate.
5. What questions should I be asking that I don’t know enough to ask?
