I just had a new washing machine installed and it's making a gurgling sound when it's draining (the previous one didn't do this).
Any idea what could be causing this? Wondering if it's normal, easy fix or whether I should call the installers back...

No leaking or backing up? Don't worry about it.

It is the drain as far as I can tell making the noise. Attaching a photo.

I would not suspect the washing machine at fault. the noise could be normal. you could put hose down and run at full blast for several minutes till you were satisfied there isnt a blockage. To be safe only run machine while you are close by listening . until you are feeling safe about it. You might need drain cleaning guy to come out , but a little investigation on your own is my recomendation
