I am planning on installing a bathtub in my basement. The rough-in sewer connections are already in place and embedded in concrete. This was installed by the orginal builder in 2000. The tube I plan on installing is a Lasco 2603-30.

The spec sheet shows a 6" x 12" boxout for the overflow/drain. There doesn't apperar to be adquite room under the tub to place the overfloor without raising the tub 4" - 6" or cutting out the concrete.

What is the recommend method for installing on a concrete floor. 1. do I build a platform and raise the tub or do I chip out the existing concrete.
