So I am trying to install this Signiture Hardware Sitka tub, and the directions say: "Mark the final positoin of the underside of the deck by tracing a line onto the studs" Then later it says.. ".... position the tub witin the recess until the rim is leveled against the stringers. Here are the diagrams from the directions.

Now look at my resess location... How do I mark that stringer locations under the tup when there is no way to get under the tub due to the wall behind it and to the side of it all closed in? Is there a plumbers trick to doing this?

Mark the top edge of the flange on the studs. Measure from top edge of flange to bottom edge on backside. Set stringer the measured distance below the stud marks.
