I had a new sink installed yesterday. The water on the right side is not all going down the drain. It leaves a ring of water about an inch or more surrounding the drain. I left it there overnight and the water is still there this morning. It feels as if the drain ring isn't flush against the sink perhaps. Is this an indication of a poor install of the drain? Do I need to have the plumbing company back out to fix it? Or is there something else that could lead to this? I'll try and attach a pic of the drain.

Thanks.

The drain in your photo looks off-center a bit.

Let me ask you a technical question: Did the installer use a rubber gasket or plumber's putty between the basket and the sink?

Even if the basket is off center a bit, there shouldn't be this much water sitting there.

Does kinda look off center. Makes sence that's it's pooling on the left side. That's probably your problem. You could probably center it by pulling really hard with your fingers. Running hot water first may help
