Good day , I could go on but will try to be brief , purchased a long awaited dream property out in the middle of nowhere , unfortunately old tenant that passed knocked over heat lamp and burned most everything up , pumps old 120ft deep idk the depth of water , got old pump out and was told still works , very rusted looking but wipes off , should be fine if I run for a hour?

Pressure Tank assuming 40gal was told i could replace with 20gal ? Should I go bigger or smaller , gage and pressure switch was told 40/60 but all was fried obviously haha pun not intended but looky there

I'm really needing some help here and don't have a lot of time maybe a month or money or experience but I am willing to do the work and i am able to maybe spend around 1500.

I have learned of csv to a small extent , thank you valveman for the short video and seems like thats also a route I want to go with because have 5 people in a dwelling but again don't have much knowledge or know how and just recently got involved in the know how of wells and pumps and all this fun but am looking for help basically a step by step if someone's willing to lay it out for me I'd be very beyong thankful
oh almost forgot and dont know if this matters , this is going to be outside but protected by a small shed and insulated , I'm going to also look into some sort of heat lamp that won't cause a fire If possible , northern Alabama so we get below zero sometimes and not sure if there is any other precautions I should take all information is appreciated two wire not three wire assuming original pump is 10 GPM could be a 15 GPM tried adding pictures but says media file is too big for servers I can also be found on Facebook Bill later same name picture of two hands and a toy robot best regards

The old pump might not be worth the effort to put back in. Might look at a new 3/4HP, 10 GPM pump before yo go to a lot of trouble. The PK1A kit is all you need above ground. The 10 gallon tank might help with a lot of people in the house.

Those oil filled portable heaters that look like an old radiator work well. They have a thermostat and don't get hot enough to burn the well house down.

You should not run the pump temporarily out of the water for an hour.

Thank you for the return reply , great idea with the oil burner , will I need a 3 wire pump for the kit or does it work on a 2 wire as well

Sorry I was not more clear on that , what I ment to say was once the pump is back in the well , if the well had lots of rust water in it , running the pump for a hour should clean it all out , that being the water in the well and whatevers in the pump and lines , best regards
