New gas range has different size supply line vs old

Hello everyone. I bought a new gas range, and it requires a 1/2 ID gas line from the wall to the range. The old range supply line is smaller in diameter, and will not connect. Below is a picture of the gas shut-off valve. It appears to be 1/2". Do I have to replace the entire shut-off valve to get the new range supply line to connect? The new supply line says it is 5/8 in OD, and it came with some adaptors, but they are all too big for my existing valve. Any help is appreicated. Thanks.

Take your old line and the adapter that fits the stove to big box or hardware store. Flex line with the two different sizes or they might have a fitting from 3/8" flare male to 1/2"flare female to reduce at stove. A brass fitting female side should come with a copper gasket that resembles just the flare. Only needed for brass to brass flare connection. No pipe sealent will be needed.

Thanks. Any tips on how to get a leak free seal? I purchased the right line and fittings, applied yellow teflon to the non flared end which is screwed into the stove, and tightened all ends. I purchased a gas detector wand, and I keep getting an alert of a leak.

Liquid dish soap and littlewater to make bubbles. Put the joints spray bottle or brush to apply. Leak detector cover joint that is being tested with your hand.
