Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I'm pretty new at this stuff as I just bought my first house, and of course want to make sure that I'm doing it correctly before I call the inspector out to take a look...

I have the drainage for a new bathroom complete except for the final connection to the main house drain line. The main house line is horizontal as it goes out of the house and connects up with the sewer line.

I'm just wondering how best to make the connection. Also, I bought a test 3" test balloon and want to make sure I know where that would go. I've provided a couple of pictures to try and help illustrate the situation better.
  • Is what I have proposed going to work?
  • On the new part, could I just use long sweep 90's instead of a wye with a 45?
  • Are all of the cleanouts on the new branch necessary?
  • Where would the test balloon go?

Thanks so much in advance!!!

If the original installer knew about things other than 90 degree turns, he would not have had to use all those cleanouts, UNLESS that was done with SDR pipe and that is all he could find.
