The home owner strikes again... I told my wife id make her a second bathroom before first developing the requisite skills. Its gone alright so far but i am absolutely losing my mind over trying to install this alcove shower/bath.
I bought this tub kit:
I have 2" p-trap and pvc to go to the shower/bath because it seemed 2 inches was preferable to the 1.5 used for sinks. When i got the tub delivered i was thrilled to measure 2" holes assuming it'd fit my already bought pvc dimensions and my life would be a breeze. I go to order a 2" trip lever tub drain kit and everything in existence appears to be 1.5 inches, which I'm really finding confounding.
I just really cant figure out what to do, and to make matters worse my "color" is brushed gold so I'm limited in terms of trying to match with the other metals in the room. I'm clearly confused somewhere, quite possibly multiple-wheres, and I'm looking for some clarity from anyone who has any idea what they are doing. As for the measuring of the drain holes, i can fit a 2" piece of PVC through the overflow hole and almost fit it (though not quite) through the floor drain, so its definitely closer to 2" than 1.5".
Happy to share any more info or take more measurements/pictures/links if that would allow anyone to help me because I'm going a bit crazy.
