I’m not very familiar with horizontal wet venting, though I believe it may work for this bathroom layout, which from left to right is: shower, toilet, and sink.

The site conditions are challenging. The 4" main drain line runs directly beneath the toilet, oriented from the back to the front of the toilet, and it connects to another bathroom’s toilet upstream. In addition, the main drain line is quite deep—about 4 feet below.

One concern I have is that the toilet would require a vertical drop of roughly 4 feet. Is that allowed, or would that be considered excessive? Also, for the sink and shower drains, do I need to excavate all the way deep down to the main line, and run them horizontally connect to main drain or can those lines run a short horizontally sections first then drop vertically and wye connect to drain line? syphon issue with vertical drops ?

I also found on the internet something very similar to what I have layout. The only thing different is my drain line is much deeper about 4'. Can I copy this design and have all 3 straight up vertical drop down from the 3 drains.

Sorry if I don't make much sense here. trying to learn :)
