Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum so I apologize ahead of time if I do something wrong.
I had a Vitapur VWS296GR water softener installed in the summer and I've noticed the water is still very hard. (I have a friend that gave me a pile of test strips and the reading is showing the hardest level)

It's just my wife and I in the house and we don't use the dishwasher, very little washing machine use and at most two showers a day.

I'm at a loss as to what my settings should be. I've asked friends who have the same unit and they say the default is great for them. Clearly not the case for me.

I've read the manual and its unclear how to affect the softness of the water.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drew

I can only guess that this is a Runxin valve from China, no clue on how to set it and I doubt anyone on this site would know either. You may get lucky but in all honesty this unit is cheaper than the big box stores systems.
