Need help.. How to open sealed plug

How can I open a plug tighten with silicone tape..please see the attached photo

hit it with a little PB Blaster. Let it soak in. Use a big pipe wrench. Don't over-do it with the arm. You just want the cap off; don't want to do damage to the pipe that's in the wall. PB Blaster does a pretty good job.

I would think turning counterclockwise would be correct. If the threads were left-handed in India, we probably would have heard about it.

A big adjustable wrench (spanner) or a properly-sized open end wrench would be good. Otherwise a groove joint pliers can be good.
