Hi y'all - My bathroom has an 11.25" rough in and I am having trouble finding a toilet with enough space between the tank and wall to accommodate (looking for at least an inch between the tank and wall as too close to comfort for any less). It seems like the consensus on these forums is to go with the previous model of the Toto Drake Eco (CST744 or CST743), but I cannot find any remaining stock of either in my area (Toronto). I also read the Cadet Pro has some models with enough space, but not readily available in my area. Wondering if people have any other suggestions. I would be so grateful for any help. Thanks.

That is weird.

But if that is what you want, consider a 10-inch rough-in toilet.

But I would reconsider, and opt for something that will not give 1 inch of useless space.

Sorry. I wasn’t clear. I have 11.25 inches for the rough in. Which means in theory if I got a toilet which has .75 inches between the tank and wall it would work. But I don’t want to chance it. So would like a toilet where the instructions/specs say you have a minimum of an inch between tank and wall. Which in that case I would have only .25 inches of “useless” space between tank and wall.

Re a 10 inch rough in, it would push the toilet too far out into the room as it is a small bathroom.

Thanks!

any of Toto's skirted toilets that use a 'unifit' adapter allow you to purchase a 10" rough adapter.
I would not recommend any of Toto's Aquia line bc the mounting blocks are stupidly designed and folks don't like the poop streaks left behind.

I am glad to hear that. That is a good rational objective.

The "slop factor" (AKA "cheat") is going to be able to handle that. In addition to the dimensions of the toilet, there is some significant adjustability in the installation process. Use 1/4 inch brass closet bolts. The holes in the toilet and the slots in the closet flange give some slop/range where you can control the placement.

You can increase the tank-to-wall space a bit by making the shims nearer the wall a little higher than is needed to prevent rocking. This tilts the toilet slightly, moving the tank away from the wall.

I expect https://www.totousa.com/filemanager_uploads/product_assets/SpecSheet/SS-02050_CST776CE(R)(G).pdf could fit your space with these techniques.
