my navien was installed outside and the farthest fixture is about 80 feet away. the hot water is taking about 3 minutes to get to that fixture. it doesn't have external recirc yet, would adding external recirc (navicirc) below a faucet help. I don't have a dedicated return line in my house.

Yes, it should. We installed a Navicirc valve under the master bath sink and the time it takes the hot water to showup in the shower is now about 45 seconds versus about 2 plus minutes.
