Hello, I have the older Navien tankless heater and other than changing out some o rings it has been quite reliable.
Recently a code came up as 38 which isn’t in the manual for my model but for the newer NPE is mentions circulation issue. I changed the flow meter and now the circulation pump but that has not fixed it.
How I am fairly certain it is a circulation issue is I saw on the cover how to bypass the pump with dip switch. I bypassed the pump and code went away.
The only two things that I can see could be issue is the check valve but not sure if that would be it but the other is the PC board. I am not sure how to verify if it is the issue.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
With the pump off I have hot water but takes a while to get into the shower and I am one that likes things running the way they should.
Any suggestions out there?
