Hi,
I am a home owner and will be doing some DIY remodeling soon. Today I checked out a couple of new constructions near my house and found that the nail plates (protect pipes) and supply line stub-out plate/brackets are screwed onto the side of the studs directly, adding 1/16" thickness to the section of the wall. Is that small enough so it won't make a 'bump' once the drywall is on? On the other hand I have read professional dry wallers run drywalls alone the nature light direction so the joins on the ceiling won't look very visible.
The 2 new construction are on different end of spectrum in terms of costs.
So 1/16 bump behind the drywall won't be visible?
Thanks,
