Our well pumps into a 2000 Gallon tank. There is a pump in the tank and it pumps to our home pressure tank

In the tank is an H-pipe . I'm not sure its purpose. The H-pipe does not have joints, it seems to be one piece.

Mystery solved. The connecting center of the "H", is a piece of PVC taped in place. There is no actual pipe connection, its there to just add support to the left pipe when the water is flowing out of the pipe. All held together with electrical tape.
Can you believe it!
