I replaced the stem on my exterior faucet that was leaking on my home built in 70’s - matched up to older size Mansfield 500 with right hand thread. Installed also new washer - graphite packing (small size to match) - and new packing nut - new handle with screw. Also replaced vacuum breaker. When I turn on water it does not leak anywhere - but when I hook up a hose it leaks out the end ?
