Hi all. I’m redoing all the plumbing in a 140 year old house with new schedule 40 pvc. Every joint has been primed and glued/solvent welded. So far, under a 10’ water stack test, I’ve had a street 22.5 going into a another 22.5 leak(4”), a ptrap leak(3”), and a 2” 90 leak as well as one reamed fitting. Excluding the reamed fitting, wtf is going on? Bad glue? Need to lightly sand pvc before priming? First plumbing job(it’s a DIY job.) my dad did a 4000 square foot house with no leaks and he is baffled as well.
