We're renovating the kitchen found the main drain stack in one of the walls that separated the kitchen from another room. We're taking that wall down and extending the kitchen. The stack is right in the way of where the countertop would extend, causing us to have to build a bulkhead somewhere along the countertop - it would only stick out about 4" or so, but it's enough to be annoying and ruin the "clean lines" of the kitchen.

Is it possible to add in something like 2x45 deg bends moving the stack within hte 2x6 wall, then a 2 foot section, and another 2x45 deg bends to bring the stack back in line to the existing I can hide the stack in the cabinets above and below, and put it within the 2x6 wall for that 2 foot section where it would be exposed. Is this allowed?

That's a bit of a loaded answer. Do you mind sharing what "doing it properly" would entail? Or what it definitely doesn't entail?
