Moen EVA, Loose Shower Valve Handle

Moen Eva type handle jiggles on valve shaft. Set screw inside of handle is tight. Any idea why there is play in the handle. Installed new in December of 2019.

The part behind the handle, it's the black part in the picture below, needs to be threaded on tightly with a screw on the end, and then the handle can be placed on, secured with an Allen screw.

So I should remove the handle, make sure the black piece is securely tightened and reinstall the handle?

Yes. I add a dab of new locktite blue/medium hold to those threads like they were sent out from the factory with.
