i have a Moen single handle pull out faucet in my bath tub that was constantly dripping so I pulled the cartridge. When I did so this is what I pulled out. It doesn’t look like any of the replacement moen cartridges I’ve seen at the stores, I thought maybe a moen 1225 would fit but that model is not as slim as this, please help

That was the Moen 1200 and you can also use the 1225 there.
However, most of the cartridge is still stuck in the body. This tool helps to rock the cartridge sideways in the hopes of breaking it loose from the body.

If you can break it loose and then maybe use an easy out on it to try to pull the rest. If not, you're looking at a new valve body there.

heat it up with torch, might help. needle nose, flat heat screw driver and hammer

I was thinking heat, but then the idea scared me of a homeowner trying it. The water is off, does he have water handy to put out a fire quickly with the water off. Most of us have made those mistakes first on homes in construction before the wall board goes up. I didn't want the next post to be, well guys, I'm moving I guess. No need to worry about the cartridge anymore. :)
