Installing a Moen 3330 in my bath. This is a new construction bathroom. I have framed out and I am needing to locate the valve. Moen states to have the plaster ring flush with the finished wall. The reason that I am asking this question because I also installed a one handle tub/shower in another bathroom not following the directions. I had read in another post to Not install the plaster ring flush so that the handle doesn't stick out 3/4 of an inch. Any comments on the correct location. I will have 1/2 sheetrock, kerdi, thinset, and 1/4 tile.

Thanks,
JT in NC

Attach the trim temporarily, and see where you like it! Mock it up with all of the components stacked together.
