I want to replace a PVC P-trap under a vanity with a chromed brass P-trap under a pedestal sink. Can't use slip joint after P-trap in Massachusetts. How does one connect a metal P-trap wall tube to the PVC drain system without a slip joint?

Threaded comes to mind.

Look into "LA pattern" p-traps.

Also see for more money.... https://www.decorplanet.com/product...s-code-approved-17-gauge-p-trap/j-272-sg.html

No trap adapter allowed at the wall seems harsh.
