Hey,

House came with two carbon tanks, in - out ( as there is no power here ), no backwash.

10x54 tank - will this take 2 cu ft ?
12x52 will this take. 2.5 cu ft ?

I know that in Backwash 10x52 is 1.5 cu ft and 12x52 2 cu ft, but in out should take more ?

I would like to refresh it before I figure out plan to get solar battery or other alternatives.

No power, but city water? Or is this going to be gravity?

The reason for the 2 and 2.5 numbers is indeed backwash expansion.

You nailed it's gravity! But there is transfer pump to move it ... but I don't have access I actually get decent pressure and around 14-15 gpm

So without Backwash 10x54 will take 2 cu ft
And 12x54. 2.5 cu ft ?

I guess I will upgrade second tank to much first one at some point
