Hi, I have a very loud noise in my plumbing unit. It is not coming from the Rinnai.
It seems to be coming from either the expansion tank (believe cold water expansion tank) or the legend valve. It comes on whenever the HOT water is run. And if I open up another HOT water valve, it stops. Even if I run the other HOT water tap at a trickle.
There was no new plumbing work done.
It does seem to be in the cold water section of the piping. See the video here:
