Looking to replace this old thermostat. One line has what appears to be 24 volts. Is this a low voltage direct replacement?

Thank you for your replies so far. I'm a little confused, isn't the line that has 24 volts the C wire?

A "C"wire is needed for WiFi thermostats with both heat and cool modes that needs five wires, in addition, Wifi thermo's do not use a battery. You have heat only, any digital programmable thermostat with batteries will work. Only two wires are needed. The two for the clock disconnect them at the furnace.

There are still some non battery thermostats out there. Basic heat only with no programming.
