I have an old tub and want to replace the faucet with something longer so the water hits the tub in a different location on the floor of the tub.

I have no idea how to remove this faucet but thought maybe there is a set screw?

The old one is less than 6" in length from the wall. I would like one that is 8" or even 10".

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Is there a set screw above that bottom slot? You could try a photo using night mode on your cellphone camera, if your cellphone camera has a night mode. Or you could shine a light up there and take a photo.

If there is no set screw, I would assume you turn the spout CCW to unscrew it. I am not a plumber.

It's not in focus, but it appears there's a hex bolt visible in the bottom slot of the spout. If that's the case, loosen that, and the spout will probably pull off the pipe. If there's any caulk between the spout and the wall, it may need a razor to cut through that first.
