Hi.

Am I right that the current code forbids the use of NM in residential structures over 2 stories tall?

What other restrictions on NM in multi family structures?

Thanks.

The types define the degree of fireproofness required for the building. I believe 5 AND 6 do NOT allow flammable materials in the structure. Once the building is completed, they basically all look similar so you have to know how it was constructed or go to the building documents to find out.
