Leaky toilet: I think I installed it wrong, HELP!

Except the way I do it with a good tank to bowl set is:

1. Brass bolt.
2. Rubber washer.
3. Tank china
4. Brass washer.
5. Brass nut.
6. Space.
7. Bowl china.
8. Rubber washer.
9. Brass washer.
10. Brass nut.

1-3 are standard...but I add in a rubber washer between the brass washer and the outside of the tank.

4. Rubber Washer
5. Brass Washer
6. Brass nut.
7. Space
8. Bowl china.
9. Rubber washer.
10. Brass washer.
11. Brass nut.

One of these days manufacturers will realize that this simple extra set of rubber washer / brass washer / brass nut is a simple fix that pretty much eliminates tank bolt leaks for good without having to worry about over tightening the tank to the toilet.
