I bought a Jacuzzi Ottawa Roman Faucet and installed it on my bathtub this weekend. I left the skirting off the front of the tub just to make sure the installation was good. It was very easy to install and I'm impressed with how it looks. My only issue is the hole that the wand pulls out from and retracts to. I'm finding that a small amount of water can travel down the hose and through that hole. The wand itself isn't leaking, just stray water going down the hole. I would have thought there would be a gasket or something around the hose to prevent water from running down. Is there a solution for this? I have noticed water under the tub from this.

Thanks,
Brett

A possible solution is as follows. Get another shower hose and connect it to this one with a close nipple. Then connect the showerhead to this one. Hang the showerhead on the wall. The connection between the two hoses fills the hole. Kind of defeats the point of the system, but if you're concerned about it...

Ive came across this before and I don't think there is a solution. Just to dry what you can with a towel when you put it back.

I thought about taking the hose out, filling the hole with spray foam, let it set then drill a hole in the foam the same size as the hose. I’m just afraid that the spray foam will expand too much and crack something.

the spray foam wont hold up to the hose friction. you could try to make your own rubber gasket.

We used a p trap with the bottom hooked up to the drain and the shower hose running through it like a guide. No water gets out!
