Leaking shower?

I'm a complete novice to this stuff. What's happening with my shower here? Is it just the cracked seal at the bottom of the tile or something worse?

Something worse. Most likely water is getting through the grout.

Looks like water damage. There are a few ways to correct this, but so much has been written about it.
