Ive got a KRain Pro EX defaulting to Program A regularly. Its set on Program B and if you run manually will run Program B program. Get up in the morning with the controller set to Auto and Program B selected on the pad, but on the display screen Program A is lit up and its running the program for A.
Thanks in advance
Glenn

All controllers work mostly the same. The dial is only to access the program and display the program, not force run the program except in manual mode. If Program A and B overlap any run times, usually after the current program runs the second one will then run. Some controllers will cancel the second overlap time program. You're controller is working normal. If you want just program B to run, you must change the start time for program A to "off".

I don't see how to turn program A off without erasing the entire program, other than not selecting that particular program on the control panel.

So with program B selected on the controller, your saying it runs B first then goes and runs C and then A?
This controller has 3 programs A,B & C. Ive got 3 different programs set for the different time of the year. Program A runs all 9 zones, program B runs zones 1-4, program C is an abbreviated version of A. Ive always selected the Program i want and thought it ran just that program.

Thanks for the responce

In auto mode it runs by the clock (start times). Program A starts st 8:00 am and all zones take two hours to run. Program B start time is 9:00 am, B will start at the end of Program A run time, 10:00 am. Where the dial is left has nothing to do what programs run. The manual did state that when two programs overlap, the programs will stack. That means, "A" first, then "B", "C".

To turn off Program A, move the dial to SET Program Start times, use the "Programs" button to select "A". The display will read "1ST HH:MM am or pm. Using the up and down arrows advance the timer setting to 11:45PM, the next click will be "OFF". Click the NEXT button and "2", "3" and "4" start times will be displayed. They may be "off" or have a start time programmed.

From the manual.

The Pro EX 2.0 controller will allow up to four separate watering start times for each program.

1. Use the PROGRAM SELECT BUTTON to select the program (A, B or C) you wish to assign a start time.

2. Turn the dial to SET PROGRAM START TIMES. The display will show the first start time currently set for the selected program.

3. Press the DOWN or UP buttons to change the start time. The time setting change is in 15-minute increments.

4. To eliminate a watering start time press the DOWN or UP buttons until “OFF” appears in the display. The OFF setting is located between 11:45 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

5. When additional start times are needed press the NEXT button to display the next watering start time. Repeat steps 4 through 6 for setting additional start times.

6. Return the dial to AUTO.

The SAVE feature allows the user to save all current programing. This allows the user to quickly and easily restore any saved program(s) should they be changed.

1. Turn the dial to SPECIAL FEATURES. Display will show “SEASONAL ADJUST % 100.”

2. Press the NEXT button until “SAVE” is displayed.

3. To enter the SAVE feature press the UP or DOWN button and the display should now show “SAVE*.”

4. Press the NEXT button to save the current program(s). The display will briefly show “SAVED” before automatically advancing
to the next available feature.

5. Return the dial to AUTO.
