Kohler K-8304 Rite Temp tub/shower valve

Kohler has a new valve in the Rite-Temp series. It should be much easier to install now, as it backs to a standard 2x4 in a 2x4 stud wall. Like Moen and Delta, now Kohler can be installed using the same setbacks. Life is going to be easier for plumbers.

Water goes in where the arrows are and it looks reversible for the up and down. This version allows female fittings are you can insert copper and solder.

Kohlers current trims starting with "TS" work with both the 304 and 8304. Box stores are selling trims starting with "R" will only work with the 8304. It is causing confusion between homeowners and plumbers.
