I just bought a Kohler shower tub faucet with the rite temp valve k-8304. when I originally installed it it had a PEX to shower head dog ear elbow. copper to dog ear copper stub for the tub spout. I tested and it worked well. now after installing shower head and tub spout the shower head drips with any warm to cool water flow. all hot or all cold on drip. I then replaced the valve to shower head with copper and still drips..... please help driving me crazy! !!!

NOTICE: Use only 1/2” (5/8” OD) copper pipe (type L or M) between the valve and bath spout. Other materials may cause water to flow from the showerhead and bath spout at the same time.

I wonder if the valve was installed upside down.
