Kitchen P-trap won't reach wall pipe vertically

My garbage disposal was in need of replacement and after some reading and watching a handful of instructional videos, I decided I would take on the project myself. Everything went well, except the new disposal discharge outlet is apparently 1.5" or so lower then on the old unit. Now the p-trap won't reach the wall pipe. I can't raise the tee because that would cause a horizontal rise from the disposal outlet to the tee. Are there any proper solutions to this?
