Kenmore electric hot water tank

Any know if kenmore has a different thread on there elements for a hot water tank?

They COULD have a 1 3/8" thread rather than the common 1" ips size, but it depends on WHO made the tank and when. Usually when they do, it is labeled on the outside.

Yes it is different as noted above they have their own size so you always have to buy replacements from SEARS
they are made by STATE INDS. which is owned by A. O. SMITH Water Products Co.
